when I hear about my best friend, or anyone of the matter, being treated like SHIT when visiting Brookside Cafe in Preston on Rt 117. 

Let me tell you of some past experiences.

One night my friends and I were there, getting ready to leave, and we were standing outside by the door. 2 black girls come up to the door, and the bouncer tells them the bar is at capacity and shuts the door. At that moment I told the 2 girls to go down the stairs and watch what happened as 5 white girls approached the building. The girls go up the stairs and right into the bar, no problem. Blatant racism. I was still standing there waiting for the rest of my friends to finish their drinks and come outside to leave, when a black couple approached. Once again, “Sorry we’re at capacity.” Right..

I have heard the manager WITH MY OWN EARS say phrases like, “It’s getting dark in here, I don’t like it.”

The bar got rid of certain DJs that were playing because they were playing “too much rap music” and “bringing in the wrong crowd”. I’m sorry, does someone with white skin have better money? Black skin? Yellow? Maybe only straight, white, males and females have the right kind of money. I wasn’t aware there was more than one kind…

Another couple instances happened to my best friend. He was sitting at the bar with money in his hands for probably a half an hour, as the bartenders served every WHITE person at the bar. Apparently they were too good for his money

Tonight I find out that my friend and another man got PUSHED AND DRAGGED out of the bar because they were dancing together. Would it have been a problem if it was a guy and a girl dancing? A girl and a girl? No. 2 guys dancing must just be over the line. 

I am so DISGUSTED. IT IS 2012 PEOPLE. DO NOT bring your business to this place!! Please get word out about this! CUSTOMERS SHOULD NOT BE TREATED THIS WAY! NO ONE SHOULD BE TREATED THIS WAY!
